Koroneihana 2018 – Details for Taranaki Maunga

Confirming travel details for Taranaki Maunga to the Koroneihana 2018.

Monday 20 Aug
1am – Leave Hawera
2am – Leave Owae marae
6am – Powhiri Tūrangawaewae – with Ratana whānau

Tuesday 21 Aug
3-4pm – Return home (Approx time)
We will book buses dependant on numbers as last year they were half empty so first in first served.

We have booked accom at Tūrangawaewae for 80 – 100 people for Monday night only.

 


Kapa Haka practices

Sun 12 Aug 10am – 2pm – Owae marae (Shared kai)
Tue 14 Aug 6-8pm – Te Korowai o Ngā Ruahine

Proposed waiata – These will be confirmed at practices.

We are tentatively booked for our kapa haka stand at 4pm Monday afternoon.

Powhiri 6am Monday morning

We are going on with Ratana and is our chance to take our kawe mate, could you please let speakers know so they can be acknowledged and bring whakaahua if required. Whakaahua are not left at the marae.

Last year we had 2 speakers – 1 from the South and 1 from the North and suggest we prepare in that way and determine our 2 appropriate waiata at our practices.

10am – Te Karakia hei whakanui i te Koroneihana Tuangāhuru mā rua
