Taranaki Tū Mai 2023

Our registrations for the 2023 Taranaki Tū Mai are now open!

Ngāti Tama are hosting this years Taranaki Tū Mai 24 – 26 November 2023.
The event is to celebrate our Taranakitanga, whanaungatanga and whakapapa. 
 
Register today for up to two events. Our Te Atiawa Tū Mai coordinators will be in touch to confirm teams once the numbers for each activity are met. As well as participating, you’ll receive a limited edition t-shirt designed by our very talented whanaunga Bobby-Lee Waru.

Competitive events uri will participate in include: 

Basketball Darts Golf Kapa’aka – competitive
Kaumatua Olympics Kī-o-ra’i Kubb League 9s
Marching Netball – ladies’ competitive Netball – mixed competitive Netball – ladies’ social
Netball – mixed social Outdoor bowls Pool Rugby 7s – tāne
Rugby 7s – wāhine Softball Tauto’eto’e Touch
Volleyball – masters Volleyball – mixed open Waka Ama  

Non-competitive events include:

Kaitautoko Kapa’aka – Ngāhau March Past
Pōw’iri Tamariki Tū Mai Wānanga
We do have a $5 fee for each participating adult which will go to our hosts Ngāti Tama.

    1. Registration & Fees
    1.1 Taranaki Tū Mai Uri Registration forms and fees are due by 5pm, Friday 29 September 2022.
    1.3 All participants are required to complete a Taranaki Tū Mai 2023 Uri Registration Form
    1.4 Registration $5 per person 13+yrs.
    1.5 Registration of U12yrs is essential for catering purposes on Sunday 26 September 2023.
    1.6 Registration includes participation in events at Taranaki Tū Mai 2023, a Te Atiawa Iwi t-shirt and a 'angi on Sunday 26 November 2023.
    1.7 Registration does NOT include meals and accommodation for the duration of the festival.
    1.8 All completed Taranaki Tū Mai Uri Registration forms and fees to be returned to your iwi co-ordinator or iwi office.
    To ensure you receive your t-shirt in time for the event, please have your Taranaki Tū Mai Te Atiawa Registration forms and fees submitted by Thursday 31 August 2023. We will still be taking registrations and fees until Monday 20 November 2023, however unfortunately we may not be able to guarantee a t-shirt for you.
