Terms and Conditions

Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa Merchandise Terms and Conditions – April 2018

1. Content

While we endeavour to supply accurate information on this site, errors and omissions may occur. Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa Trust does not accept any liability, direct or indirect, for any loss or damage which may directly or indirectly result from any advice, opinion, information, representation or omission whether negligent or otherwise, contained on this site. You are solely responsible for the actions you take in reliance on the content on, or accessed, through this site.
Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa reserves the right to make changes to the content on this site at any time and without notice.
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa makes no warranties in relation to the merchantability, fitness for purpose, freedom from computer virus, accuracy or availability of this web site or any other web site.

2. Ordering goods and services from us

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods or services. An order is placed on our website via adding a product to the shopping cart and proceeding through our checkout process. The checkout process includes giving us delivery and any other relevant details for your order, e.g. entering payment information, and submitting your order. The final step consists of a confirmation page with full details of your order, which you are able to print as a receipt of your order.
We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received and accepted your order, which indicates that your order has been accepted and you may not cancel it.

3. Refusing or cancelling orders

In the unlikely event that the goods or services ordered are no longer available we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgement, to be placed for commercial purposes, e.g. any kind of reseller. We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgement, to have been placed fraudulently.
While we endeavour to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.
Our right to cancel orders applies to orders that have been accepted. We will send you an e-mail to advise if your order has been refused or cancelled, and that a full refund will be given.

4. Payment options

We are currently accepting payments via direct bank transfer. Bank transfer details can be found during our checkout process. Items may also be purchased by cash and picked up directly from the office.

5. Pricing

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Please note that we reserve the right to alter prices on our websites at any time for any reason. Online and trade pricing may differ.
Our prices do not include the cost of postage and packaging, import fees, duties, tariffs or other charges which may be payable in relation to an order.

6. Website and Information Security

We want you to have a safe and secure shopping experience online. All payments via our sites are processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, whereby sensitive information is encrypted to protect your privacy.
You can help to protect your details from unauthorised access by logging out each time you finish using the site, particularly if you are doing so from a public or shared computer.
For security purposes certain transactions may require proof of identification.

7. Delivery and Delivery Charges

At this time, we only deliver to New Zealand and Australia addresses. Delivery charges to New Zealand addresses are:

  • Standard NZ – NZ$8.75
  • Rural NZ – NZ$15.20

For delivery rates to Australia please contact the Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa office.
Please ensure the correct address details are provided. Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa will not be responsible for the re-delivery, replacement or refund of any product if the address you supply is insufficient or incorrect. For this reason we encourage that a postal code is included.
The requirement for a signature on receipt of delivery is optional, but strongly recommended. To ensure successful delivery, please provide a delivery address where someone will be present during business hours to sign for the receipt of your package.
If Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa has misaddressed a product and the goods are lost, or if the goods have been damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 business days using our online form.

8. Delivery Period

Delivery lead time for products may vary. Each product has a lead time displayed on it indicating when you can expect delivery of your order. Deliveries to rural addresses and deliveries of dangerous goods in some areas may take longer than the time indicated. You will receive an email that confirms that your order has been dispatched.

9. Returns

We can only exchange items if the sizing is wrong, and accept returns only if the items are damaged or faulty when received. Choose carefully as we do not refund or exchange if you change your mind. If your purchase is in New Zealand and not for business purposes, Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa will meet its obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Please visit the Merchandise Returns Policy page for full details on the returns process.
