Taranaki Tū Mai 2022

Calling all Te Atiawa whānau!

With the recent decision to postpone the 2021 Taranaki Tū Mai event, here are the updated dates for 2022.

Join us at the 2022 Taranaki Tū Mai event.
Hosted by Ngāti Ruanui on Taranaki Anniversary weekend from Friday 11 – 13 March in Hawera.

The event is to celebrate our Taranakitanga, whanaungatanga and whakapapa.

Competitive events you can participate in include:

Basketball Kapa ‘aka – competitive Netball Softball
Croquet Kaumatua Olympics Outdoor Bowls Tauto’et’e
Darts Kī-o-ra’i Rugby Tournament Table Tennis
E Sports League 9s Run (3km) and a Running Relay Touch
Golf Marching Sack Race Volleyball

Non-competitive events you can join include:

Kaitautoko March Past Tamariki Tū Mai Wānanga
Kapa ‘aka – Ngāhau Pōw’iri Tug o War

    1. Registration & Fees
    1.1 Taranaki Tū Mai Uri Registration forms and fees are due by 3pm, Friday 11th March 2022.
    1.3 All participants are required to complete a Taranaki Tū Mai 2022 Uri Registration Form
    1.4 Registration $5 per person 13+yrs.
    1.5 Registration of U12yrs is essential for catering purposes on Sunday 13th March 2022.
    1.6 Registration includes participation in events at Taranaki Tū Mai 2022 and a 'angi on Sunday 13th March 2022.
    1.7 Registration does NOT include meals and accommodation for the duration of the festival.
    1.8 All completed Taranaki Tū Mai Uri Registration forms and fees to be returned to your iwi co-ordinator or iwi office.
    To ensure you receive your t-shirt in time for the event, please have your Taranaki Tū Mai Te Atiawa Registration forms and fees submitted by 4th February 2022. We will still be taking registrations and fees until 4th March 2022, however unfortunately we may not be able to guarantee a t-shirt for you. Please send your registration fee to the following account:
