Power Cut to Sewerage Plant causes sewerage discharge

A community feels betrayed by a third sewage overflow in Waitara in just seven weeks. A power failure to the system that controls at the Waitara Pump Station on Wednesday night or Thursday morning resulted in the overflow of raw sewage being discharged 1.25km out to sea. No sewage went into Waitara River.
