$141,000 of Education Grants to Te Atiawa uri

Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa are proud to announce $141,000 of Education Grants have been distributed to 149 Te Atiawa uri across Aotearoa.

Congratulations Symon Knuckey who received our $5,000 post-graduate grant. Symon is studying towards her Masters degree – Poutāhū Whakaakoranga from Te Wānanga o Raukawa.

Congratulations also to the following five recipients of our undergraduate grants. Each received $2,500.

• Lyric Tyler – Bachelor of Environmental Science at Massey University
• Jarred Williams – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Otago
• Zoe Honeyfield – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Otago
• Kristie-Leigh McCulloch – Bachelor of Māori Art (Raranga) at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa
• Shay Witehira – Bachelor of Arts (Law/Indigenous Studies) at the University of Waikato

All other applicants received an education grant of either $250 for secondary school students or $1,000 for tertiary studying students.
