Tarereare / Katere Marae has been successful with a funding application to Venture Taranaki to run a four part wananga series this summer around maara kai and science. These wananga allow our maara whanau to workshop with specialist commercial and research professionals from the horticulture sector. We wish to open this opportunity up to our wider whanau and community to share the benefits of this opportunity. The project content will be delivered in a whanau friendly way on our marae with the help of our science partner Dr Nick Roskruge (Ngati Rahiri) and it is also designed to foster many community benefits while allowing participants the opportunity to benefit from the expert knowledge available. The information will mostly be for people who are currently gardening and who are interested in upping the skills, seedsaving, mentoring etc but will be relevant for all levels from beginners to experts
Click here to view the panui. Please also send to your networks and if you know whanau who would be interested. The first wananga will be on the 28 November 2015 at Tarereare / Katere marae. If any whanau are interested please make contact
