Te Atiawa Iwi Registration

If you are affiliated with Te Atiawa (Taranaki), please register with us. This will enable you to vote on tribal matters (if over 18), be kept up to date with what’s happening and access grants, services and other opportunities. Our registration form will take between 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

Please make sure you have a reliable internet connection when completing the form, as there is no guarantee that your progress will be saved if your connection is interrupted.

  1. As part of the registration process, we request your whakapapa so that our Whakapapa Kōmiti can verify your connection to Te Atiawa.
  2. We ask for either a scanned copy or a photo of proof of identity (Birth Certificate) to be uploaded with your registration. If you do not have a birth certificate, please contact the office to discuss other proof of identity options.
  3. Please complete all sections of the application form.

Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa Trust will act in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act 2020, make available to you upon request the personal information it holds about you and will make any appropriate corrections to that information to ensure that the information held is accurate.

Please note that after submitting your form, the data is removed from the website after 30 days.

Applicants who have been legally or customarily adopted (whāngai) by a member of Te Atiawa are eligible for registration as members in accordance with the Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa Trust Membership Policy and the Whāngai & Adoption Policy.

To determine an applicant’s adoption or whāngai status, additional information may be requested. This request will be managed by the Registration Manager.

For your registration to be processed, you must provide a copy of your identity with this application. Please upload a scanned copy/photo of a proof of identity (Birth Certificate).
