My thanks to those who supported my candidacy in the election of an inaugural board of Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa. My acknowledgement to my fellow candidates who saw merit in giving their time and knowledge to offer service for the first three year term. Regardless of my personal placing in the list of voting, I wish those successful candidates all the best in their first term and will support the board in what will be a tough term with huge expectations by government and the people. Determining how the board positions itself in relation to government compliance and wishes of the people will test the unity and leadership of the board and constituent hapu.
    Garry
